At the age of 15, Jordan Cattonar began private lessons in classical guitar. Admiring heroes like guitar legends Carlos Santana and David Gilmore, Jordan was an inspired and quick learner. After two years Jordan was convinced to start a career in music and he took some steps that would launch him into the spotlight. He formed a punk-rock band called “The White Bats.” While the band was competing in various “New Talent” competitions on television and radio, Jordan also spent time in developing his composing skills. By writing a wide range of songs during the eighties, some were even used in a television documentary for Verona’s upcoming sport’s season, Jordan began to develop and emerge as a talented songwriter. Jordan was born in beautiful Verona (Italy), where he grew up. Verona is known as the home of Romeo and Juliet according to Shakespeare’s famous story. In 1990 Jordan made a difficult decision and left his beloved Verona for new opportunities in music. He was given the chance to explore new styles of music and joined the group “Caravan.” The disco band was renowned around exclusive clubs in Italy at the time. In 1991 Jordan was given the opportunity to participate to the band “Gunther Group.” The group had a hit song that reached 20th place on the Italian national chart and brought the band many television and radio appearances. But a touch of fame made Jordan hungry to see the world and explore different cultures. He joined on invitation “Les Aristocrates,” a jazz band performing around the world on various cruise ships. He spent the next three years travelling around the world, while learning different languages, growing in performance and in his art. Ready to settle down, Jordan accepted a new life challenge when he chose to completely immerse himself into the English language and moved to the United Kingdom. Himself, his use of the English language, and his music flourished there. During his stay in the United Kingdom the JJ Entertainment Group sought Jordan out to record a vocal CD and Jordan’s vocal album “My Own Way” was launched. Promotions and interviews followed including some appearances on the famous BBC radio production “The Tony Capstick Show.” Influenced by friends Jordan began to explore new sounds in electronic music and technology. The next two years he spent time in writing and recording “Mystique” and “My New Star,” albums produced by Peoplesound.com. While his personal musical style developed, his acting career took off. He was given parts on two English soap operas, “Peak Practice” and “Crossroad.” Just as he was offered the main character in a new comedy series, Jordan realized his true calling was in music. After seven years in the United Kingdom Jordan Cattonar returned home to Italy, to dedicate himself completely to his music dream. Jordan is working and living on the beautiful Amalfi Coast in Italy during the summer where nightly entertains hundreds of people with his own vocal and guitar smooth jazz stylings.
