ALEXANDER McQUEEN – My Favourites of Autumn/Winter 2011/12

It was a shock when he committed suicide not very long ago – but Sarah brings him right back to the catwalk and into our minds. Unforgettable…
Overview
Burton used her ingenious skills as a designer and mixed them with McQueens style DNA – and got a result beyond imagination. She does not follow any other designer’s ideas. She is just completely unique and independent. There is not one single piece I dislike – in fact, I would happily wear them all!

Key Looks – Key Pieces
This collection is certainly not for the faint-hearted! If you wear McQueen next winter, you should not be afraid to become centre of attention – no way to go unnoticed.
Needless to say that you have to have the perfect hour glass figure – or be ready to wear your corsetry to the point of breathlessness!
Sarah Burton used a very limited colour palette: basically black and white and shades of grey – for a strong look. No colours should distract from the silhouettes of the clothes. Have a look at the video of McQueen’s runway show…
