Some designers are just that little bit more extravagant or outstanding or have brought a special twist to their collection – like Hannah MacGibbons for CHLOE.
Overview
The creative director of Chloé, Hannah MacGibbons, was working for this label for a decade and eventually followed Phoebe Philo as a creative director. She has been replaced by ex-Pringle designer Clare Waight Keller just a few weeks after the presentation of her autumn/winter 2011/12 collection in Paris.
Key Looks – Key Pieces
Hannah went for the 1970s. However, she did not simply copy the style but picked the essence of the early 70’s and brought it right into the 21st century. She has kept the fluent lines, the quintessential aura of casual elegance. Her looks are easy and very comfortable to wear and never over-the-top.
The snakeskin prints go right through her collection as a leitmotif but the most outstanding pieces are her wide legged trousers. I absolutely adore her leather trousers! Leather is anyway all the rage this winter but wide legged leather trousers are just absolutely extraordinary! If you want a more pared-down version, then go for her wide-legged Blue Jeans and wear a simple and elegant silk blouse with them.
My Favourite Piece
