Sorrento’s coastline location has something for everyone, from churches to museums, an abundance of shopping boutiques, historical monuments and fountains, and beaches to help you catch your breath during your fun-filled stay along the coast.

One of my and many other’s favorite views thus far is one that you can’t see as easily and requires some travel to get too.

Regina Giovanna is a beautiful swimming hole filled with shade and just enough rock to create a natural pool-like environment. The waves are usually calm with the occasional more frequent flutters from the boats passing by.

The cove offers an entry way to the ocean for those dare-devil swimmers. If you would prefer to stay in the cove which offers a more relaxing environment, you will meet a few other tourists or locals who are soaking up the sun or reading along the sidelines.

The surrounding location of Regina Giovanna gets even better. With an easy climb to the top of the ruins that inhabits the cove, offers a view that makes you feel like you’re on top of the world. With long distance views such as Mount Vesuvius and what seems like the never ending deep blue sea, it’ll make it hard to leave.

After taking hundreds of photos you’ll realize nothing could and will ever compare to the real thing- it’s something that you have to see yourself in order to understand its beauty that pictures can’t capture.

A five minute bus ride from Corso Italia will drop you off right outside a convenience store that that leads to a 15 minute walk to the secret cove.

No matter how long or short your stay here in Sorrento is, consider Regina Giovanna a must see.
